A message from our ACYF Pilgrims
Tanya and Belinda Martin
Our names and Tanya and Belinda Martin and we are lucky enough to be the two Trinitarian members to be going to the Australian Catholic Youth Festival this year in Perth. We have been members of this parish for many years. Many of you may have seen us volunteer at the parish as readers, Trinitarian events, and at parish fundraisers and liturgies.
The ACYF is a Catholic event open to the young Catholic people of Australia. It consists of workshops, discussions and reflections lead by people of the catholic faith. There will be many Australian and International speakers. We will be flying to Perth on the 7th of December and returning on the 11th of December.
We are hoping to gain knowledge form these workshops and be able to share our experiences in our day to day lives, especially with our Trinitarians family. We also hope to deepen our relationship with God, meet people of the same faith and to discuss relevant issues that young Catholics face in our world today.
We would like to thank all our Trinitarians Youth Ministry members and Parish community who have helped fundraise for our pilgrimage, including the Pancake Breakfasts, Cadbury Chocolate sales, Parish Movie Night and Parish Fairs across both Holy Trinity and Holy Family Churches. We would especially like to thank all the parishioners who have supported us, wished us well, or who have donated money or goods to make our fundraising possible. Your generosity and support is appreciated! Thank you!
We will keep you in our prayers throughout the pilgrimage and we ask that you, too, keep us in your prayers as we journey with thousands of other young Catholics and deepen our relationship with God.
You can keep up to date with our pilgrimage by following the Parish Social Media and websites. We will be sending photos and updates for you to enjoy!
