Stage 1 requirements to attend Holy Mass

In conjunction with the NSW State’s Government easing of restrictions on places of worship and other selected public venues, churches are now able to allow a maximum of 10 people to enter the church, be it for private prayer or attendance at Mass.

Here in the Granville Catholic Community, it is intended that this opportunity to attend a Mass and the reception of Holy Communion is afforded by as many within in our community as possible while still adhering to the restrictions which are currently in place.

To that end, a registration form is available for you to complete to express your interest in attending a Mass from Sunday, 24th May. All parts of the registration form must be completed to assist us with meeting the conditions which have been implemented. Once your registration has been confirmed, a reply email will be sent to you to advise and confirm your attendance at the available Mass.

Please note that for us to ensure that all who express their interest to attend Mass are given that opportunity, it is likely that once someone who has attended a Mass physically, will be delayed for some weeks from attending another Mass depending on the number of expressions of interest received. This is to make sure that everyone within our parish community is given equal opportunity to attend Mass. Whilst this arrangement may difficult for the current moment, it is the best option available to allow fairness and equity for all.

Please also be reminded that the current dispensation from attendance at Mass issued by the Bishop of Parramatta is still in effect and broadcasts of Masses online will continue to be made available.
